Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life

Historically speaking, Ayurveda, one of the world’s oldest systems of science and preventative healing. Its rich history that dates back over 5,000 years originating in ancient India. In Sanskrit, its roots are "ayur" meaning life and "veda" meaning knowledge, hence it's commonly referred to as "the knowledge of life". It teaches us how to care for our bodies, how to treat uncomfortable symptoms, how to prevent the onset of diseases, and how to feel well. The ancient texts even outlined how to perform surgeries! These practices and treatments intended to give us ways to fulfill our life's purpose, to experience joy, and to ride through the ebbs and flows of life with grace and ease. Ayurveda is our blueprint for living in harmony with Nature and our whole selves.

Not only did Ayurvedic wisdom uncover the inextricable connections of our minds, our bodies, our hearts, and Spirit, but it also recognized that each human is a unique expression of the Divine. Just as no two flowers are exactly the same, neither are any two humans. Ayurveda recognizes and honors this as a central and pivotal consideration when offering treatments and remedies yielding more effective results.

As centuries have passed, Ayurveda has adapted to meet our ever changing needs while remaining true to its core principles and holistic approach. As our lives have become more sophisticated and complicated, the need for Ayurvedic wisdom is especially needed more than ever. The ways in which we are becoming unwell, diseased, or ungrounded are almost unavoidable without conscious, continual care. Ayurveda has proven malleable where needed, able to evolve as humans have to incorporate new tools, modern science, and the nuances of life in the 21st century to help us heal and ultimately thrive.

“The great thing about Ayurveda is that its treatments always yield side benefits, not side effects.”
