Winter's Thaw: Flowing into Spring with Ayurvedic Wisdom
Well, friend, this late winter season has had me feeling frozen in many ways (including with my favorite past time of writing!). So, I must apologize for getting caught up in that freeze.
Thankfully, that fire that drives action and enthusiasm is now in full effect with Kapha season underway. Daylight savings wound our clocks forward and I feel the sun reinvigorating a well of energy within me.
Are you feeling it, too? Longer days, pockets of warmth, little green leaves popping up here and there... I think we all are ready for it! Today I spent the better part of my afternoon spring cleaning my patio and yard- I'm in heaven!
These natural impulses flow through every one of us. Sometimes we're not quite aware of their potency in helping us come alive into the season. However, with the wisdom of ancient Ayurveda, there are a myriad of ways you can harness these benefits to feel your most balanced, best self.
For example, energetic cleansing, like "Spring cleaning", is one commonly known example. Just like Nature, we are compelled to sweep off the dust, clear out what we no longer need, and make room for new beginnings.
Similarly, clearing your body from the stagnation of winter through gentle cleanses, like Ayurveda's beloved kitchari cleanse or daily dry brushing, gives your body a clean and clear vessel from which to efficiently operate.
Coming into Nature's New Year is a wonderful time to start learning how to support yourself for a healthy and vibrant future.
If you struggle with these Kapha imbalances...
finding motivation as the season shifts
feeling the heaviness of winter lingering longer than you'd prefer
sluggish digestion
weight gain from the holiday season
water retention
excess mucus and sinus congestion
seasonal colds, allergies, and respiratory issues
...then please reach out to me! Working together will show you how to embrace Spring (and all the seasons of your life) with uniquely curated solutions to help you feel your optimal and most radiant self.
With love and gratitude, Renee Meera
